Trail opening, Sunday, April 12th, 3 pm

Come on an adventure with outdoor expert William O’Halloran through the Ballybrack Woods that will involve:

Exploring the wild side of the Mangala/Ballybrack Woods

Learning about outdoor survival

Discovering how to Leave No Trace

We are very happy to have a (short!) opening ceremony for our recently restored trail in the Ballybrack Woods followed by a walk under the guidance of outdoor trainer William O’Halloran. An event for the whole family (trail not suitable for buggies)!

Start is at 3 pm in the Douglas Community Park next to the trail map board. There will be refreshments afterwards kindly provided by  Ryan’s SuperValu.

Car Parking: There’s very limited space in the Community Park. Please park in the car park across the entrance to the Community Park. Parking is free there on Sundays.

A real community effort with support from SECAD, Cork County Council and other groups and agencies this trail was officially approved by the the National Trails Office at the end of last year.
