Thinking of growing your own food? Now is the right time!
Brian Walsh kindly invited us to visit the Douglas Allotments today. We enjoyed a nice chat over cups of tea and delicious home-made scones (thanks Terry!). This was followed by a tour around the allotments. It was very interesting to see the all the gardening facilities (lockers, shared tools etc.) available there. Basically everything you need to grow your own food is there. And: the plots are very reasonably priced.
