Saturday saw the 74th Frankfield-Grange scouts come to our assistance again. More than 20 scouts plus leaders went to clean-up the Douglas Woods/Mangela. We are really blessed with their support as we can’t look after this large area on our own. Within 1.5 hours a total of 16 bags full of rubbish were collected. A big ‘Thank You’ to the scouts, their leaders, parents and our main sponsor SuperValu for providing litter pickers, gloves and high-viz vests.
Our other Tidy Towns volunteers, including two girl scouts from another troop, were out as well cleaning the streets of Douglas. A fantastic day really – and the sun was shining too!
